MEET THE TEAM
Our Veterinarians
Dr. Tim Thai
Dr. Tim graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2017 and has since gained valuable experience working in a variety of veterinary clinics. These diverse roles have allowed him to develop a well-rounded approach to patient care and strengthen his passion for small animal medicine and surgery. Dr Tim joined Old Reynella Vet in 2023 working closely with Dr Hazel before becoming lead vet and is proud to be part of a clinic that prioritises compassion and professionalism. Through a gentle and collaborative approach, Dr Tim strives to provide high-quality care tailored to each individual, building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners.
Outside of work, he enjoys drawing and watching movies at home with his dogs, cats and birds. Living with animals of his own deepens his understanding of the bond between pets and their families and inspires the care he provides. Dr Tim feels privileged to support pets and their people through every stage of life and looks forward to meeting you and your beloved companions.
Dr. Ellie Chipperfield
Dr. Ellie Chipperfield graduated from Adelaide University in 2018.
Ellie loves working with people and their furry family. Ellie’s passion lies in animal behaviour and the mental health and well-being of our pets. Ellie is a Fear-Free certified Veterinarian and in 2024 she gained her membership through the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Veterinary Behaviour. Her force-free cooperative care ensures that your pet has a safe and positive experience with every vet visit.
Ellie has two cats, Ori and Shane, who keep her busy in her time outside of work. In her down-time Ellie enjoys time with family and friends and running.
Dr. Quinn Mackie
Meet Dr. Quinn who joined our clinic back in 2016. He is currently part time at Old Reynella Vet Clinic as he works on completing his PhD and teaches vet students at Adelaide University.
Dr. Quinn dreamed of being a Vet since he was 7 years old, but it was only after losing a close family pet in his mid-twenties, he took the plunge and started his studies in Veterinary Medicine. It was at Vet School he would also meet his future wife and fellow Veterinarian Ioanna.
Dr Quinn’s favourite part of being a vet is building long-term relationships with clients and their pets to provide the best level of service he can.
Outside of work, Dr. Quinn loves spending time with his family and also enjoys renovating, cooking and carpentry. He has three rescue pets—a Cattle Dog cross named Molly; a Labrador cross named Max and a domestic cat named Penny.
Dr. Rosemary Willcocks
Dr. Rosemary graduated from Adelaide University in 2023. Though she got into vet school to work with animals, she quickly found what she really enjoys most is working with people to get the best outcome for their furry friends.
Rosemary is passionate about feline medicine, senior pets and particularly the management of chronic health conditions. Her passions started after going through vet school with her two 10+ years-old family cats at the time and have continued to grow through her career.
At home Rosemary has two energetic cats, Jupiter and Orion who keep her busy outside of work. She also enjoys bike rides and jigsaw puzzles in her free time.
Our Support Team
Alison
With over 25 years of experience as a Veterinary Nurse, Alison is the heart behind the scenes as our Practice Manager.
She is passionate about best-practice animal care and places high value on creating a welcoming, well organised environment for clients and their much-loved furry family members.
In her role as Practice Manager, as well as when nursing, Alison enjoys supporting the clinic team and building trusted client relationships.
Outside of work, Alison loves spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, gardening and camping or holidaying.
Bekki
Bekki is a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse who joined the team in 2016.
She has a particular passion for dental and surgical nursing, where her attention to detail and compassionate care, truly shine.
Bekki is also the proud owner of two very cheeky Old English Sheepdogs, Cooper and Murphy.
Chloe
Chloe began Veterinary Nursing in 2008 and completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2011. After gaining experience in other clinics, Chloe joined the Old Reynella Vet Clinic team in 2021.
Chloe has a strong interest in surgical nursing, especially complex & orthopaedic cases. She also enjoys pathology, and exotic patients such as pocket pets & wildlife.
At home, she has a menagerie of pets including, two cats George Clooney (a gorgeous grey tabby) and Captain Franklin Fluffypants (Birman), Dita the Netherland Dwarf bunny, and Francesca a Bearded Dragon. She also has birds, fish, and previously two dogs (a Cavalier and a Border Collie mix).
Hanri
Hanri is one of our nurses who happens to be studying full-time to become a veterinarian! Since joining the team in 2019, she has developed a particular interest in surgery but remains a cuddler of all creatures.
Outside of work and study, Hanri enjoys baking, reading, and giving in to the demands of her two Miniature Bull Terriers (Inja and Shaka).
Sarah
Sarah became a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse in early 2016 and joined the Old Reynella Vet team in 2017.
Sarah has a keen interest in surgical nursing, particularly the more unusual procedures such as ophthalmology (eyes) and exploratory surgeries. So far, her favourite nursing experience has been assisting in the removal of a huge 5kg lump from a dog’s abdomen.
Sarah has a cat named Leo and a Kelpie X named Bundy. Bundy is a complete “mummies boy” who is very sweet and is the perfect companion to her two young daughters.
Trish
Trish completed her Veterinary Nursing studies in 2005 and has thoroughly enjoyed working within the role for over 20 years.
In 2023, Trish was delighted to join the team at Old Reynella Vet and instantly felt at home among the friendly staff, wonderful clients, and of course, the adorable pets. She finds the most rewarding part of her role in caring for the hospital patients and supporting them through to full recovery. Trish’s personal goal is to always treat others the way she would like to be treated.
Outside of work, she enjoys leisurely walks with her three daughters and her two dogs, Lolly and Sundae.
Yasmain
Yasmain qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in early 2021 after volunteering with the RSPCA for many years. She joined our practice in 2022.
With a lifelong passion for animal care, Yasmain enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Nursing and has a particular love for neonatal and wildlife care. She has fostered and hand-reared countless litters of kittens for the RSPCA and is an experienced neonatal carer.
Outside of work, Yasmain’s love for animals continues at home. She shares her life with three cats—Kiba (10), Tiffin (8), and Mushroom (6)—her dog Eugene (7), four Khaki Campbell ducks, and two chickens.
Kylie
Kylie is our friendly Veterinary Receptionist and Puppy Trainer. She joined our team after a long career in administration and brings with her a genuine love of animals and a bright, welcoming presence at the front desk.
At home, Kylie is kept busy by her two beloved Pugs, Stassi and Lewis.
Kylie runs our very popular and successful Puppy School classes, where her patience, enthusiasm, and love of puppies really shine. She enjoys helping new puppy owners build confidence and set their pups up for a happy, well-behaved future.
